working with TAKEOFF studios, we created a colossal immersive experiential mk11 reveal event at KOKO london

Aim

Warner Brothers Entertainment not only needed an event that revealed Mortal Kombat 11 to long-standing fans of the series, but also an event that generated serious hype and drove pre-orders from the wider gaming public and online community.

Solution

Over 150 cast and crew were involved in setting up the event over two days; sets featured giant statues and ice sculptures of key characters in the game complemented by cosplay actors helping manage the event.

63 gaming pods let gamers get hands-on with Mortal Kombat 11. The game was also revealed on-stage with the game’s developers and publishers showcasing the game’s new features, and NetherRealm’s staff performed live signings for fans.

The reveal was followed by a Celebrity Vs. Influencer gaming tournament which pitted professional fighters such as Chris Eubank Jr and Florian Munteanu (Creed 2) and celebrities including Mesut Özil and Teddy Riner against well-known influencers Squeezy and Ketchup & Mustard (with participants getting specially-made trophies and medals).

The event finished with a DJ set from Don Diablo featuring Dimitri Vegas. TAKEOFF also managed the press area, sponsorship for the event, talent booking and more.
